Yaskawa Electric (Thailand) Co. Ltd., (the "Company") respects the privacy rights of individuals involved in the Company's human resource management. In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) ("PDPA"), this Privacy Notice has been prepared to inform you about the collection, use, and disclosure ("Processing") of personal data as follows:

1. Data Subjects

This Privacy Notice applies to the processing of personal data of individuals involved in the Company's human resource management, including but not limited to job applicants, interns, employees, outsourced personnel, freelancers, company directors, consultants, executives, former employees, and individuals related to the Company’s personnel, such as family members and emergency contacts (collectively referred to as "Personnel" or "you").

If the Company is required to collect your personal data to enter into a contract, fulfill contractual obligations, or comply with legal requirements, failure to provide such data may result in the Company being unable to process your request due to legal obligations or other relevant consequences.

Additionally, the Company may receive personal data from third parties, such as emergency contacts and referees. Please inform these individuals about this Privacy Notice and obtain their consent if required, unless legal exemptions apply.

If you submit documents to the Company for legal relations or business transactions, such documents may contain sensitive personal data, such as religion or health information. The Company does not intend to collect such data unless permitted by law. In such cases, the Company will implement appropriate measures to protect your personal data, such as redaction or masking.

  • 2.6 Third-Party Information: Spouse, family members, referees, beneficiaries, etc.

3. Sources of Personal Data

The Company collects personal data through the following means:

  • 3.1 Directly from you: During recruitment, interviews, contract signing, etc.
  • 3.2 From external sources: Government agencies, recruitment agencies, referees, medical institutions, social media, affiliated companies, etc.

4. Purpose of Personal Data Processing

The Company processes personal data based on legal grounds such as consent, contractual obligations, legal compliance, vital interests, legitimate interests, and legal claims for purposes including:

  • 4.2 Qualification Verification: Medical check-ups, academic background checks, criminal record checks, etc.

5. Disclosure of Personal Data

7. Data Retention Period

The Company retains personal data only as necessary for processing purposes, considering legal and operational requirements. For example, certain personal data may be retained for 10 years in accordance with statutory limitation periods.

The Company implements technical, physical, and organizational security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction in compliance with PDPA requirements.

In such cases, the Company will provide reasons for refusal.
