Yaskawa Electric (Thailand) Co. Ltd., (“The Company”) respects the privacy rights of individuals related to the installation of the Company's Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019). This Privacy Notice has been prepared to inform you of the details regarding the collection, use, and disclosure ("processing") of personal data through the use of CCTV devices within the Company's premises, as follows:

1. Data Subjects

This Privacy Notice applies to the processing of personal data of individuals entering areas where the Company’s CCTV systems are in operation, including employees, business partners, customers, visitors, and external individuals (collectively referred to as “you”).

The Company installs CCTV cameras at key locations within its premises, buildings, and other areas but will not install them in locations that infringe on your rights, such as restrooms. Warning signs will be placed in areas where CCTV cameras are in use.

If the Company requires your personal data to enter into or perform a contract or comply with legal obligations, and you do not provide such data, the Company may not be able to proceed with your request.

2. Categories of Personal Data Collected

The Company collects your personal data through CCTV devices, which may include:

  • Video footage/still images/audio recordings of you
  • Video footage/still images/audio recordings of your property or vehicles

3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

The Company processes your personal data based on lawful grounds, such as legitimate interests, legal obligations, or legal claims, for the following purposes:

  • 3.1 To protect the life, physical well-being, health, or personal property of individuals
  • 3.2 To ensure the security of buildings, personnel, employees, visitors, as well as the Company’s property and information
  • 3.3 To assist in resolving civil, criminal, or other legal disputes
  • 3.4 To comply with legal obligations, such as government investigations or court orders

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

The Company may disclose your personal data to:

  • 4.1 Government agencies, such as the Royal Thai Police, courts, or other legally authorized entities
  • 4.2 External organizations, including affiliates, security service providers, business partners, customers, legal advisors, IT service providers, and affected persons

5. Transfer of Personal Data Abroad

If the transfer of your personal data to another country is necessary, the Company will comply with applicable data protection laws and implement appropriate measures to ensure that your data is protected and that you can exercise your rights under the law.

6. Retention Period

The Company will retain your personal data for as long as necessary, considering the necessity and purposes of processing, including compliance with legal requirements. For example, personal data may be retained for 30 days from the date of recording.

The Company ensures the confidentiality and security of your personal data through technical, physical, and organizational measures to prevent data breaches, in compliance with legal requirements.

Your rights may be subject to legal limitations, and in some cases, the Company may refuse your request, such as when compliance with legal obligations or court orders is required or when the exercise of rights would violate the rights and freedoms of others. If your request is denied, the Company will provide the reason for such denial.
